THE PROJECT
PLAN
For substantial projects we always write a project plan.
In a project plan we establish timescales, allocate responsibilities and define
technical infrastructure including
The start and end dates of the project
Important milestones and dates
The budget for the project
The availability of existing components or structures
The source of the technical input and other detailed briefing
The names(s) of the reviewer and approver of the work
The technical infrastructure to support the project, for example, the
location and method of storage of intermediate versions and the final document
along with graphics, photographs and other elements
A list of other documents that might eventually share components
The production of graphics and other input that are not text content
